Two of Primient’s manufacturing plants received best-in-class safety awards from the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) to recognize excellence in safety standards in 2025. These achievements reinforce Primient’s core value of safety and reflect every employee’s dedication to maintaining a safe environment.
The CRA recognized Primient’s plants in Lafayette, IN, and Dayton, OH, with two workplace safety honors: the Zero Lost Workdays Award and the Incident Rate Excellence Award:
- Zero Lost Workdays Award: Recognizes facilities that operate a full calendar year without an employee lost workday case and without a workplace-related fatality.
- Incident Rate Excellence Award: Recognizes plants that achieve a total recordable incident rate (TRIR) of 1.0 or less, with no employee lost workday cases involving days away from work and no workplace fatalities.
Goal-Zero Safety Approach
Safety is foundational to how Primient operates. Our approach is grounded in a simple but uncompromising ambition: goal zero. This is defined as zero injuries, zero incidents, and zero harm. Our goal-zero mindset reflects our belief that every incident is preventable and that every employee, contractor, and visitor should return home safely each day.
Strong Safety Record
In Lafayette, the team has now achieved six consecutive years without a lost workday incident and earned Incident Rate Excellence for three consecutive years. In Dayton, the team has been recognized with the Zero Lost Workdays award for three consecutive years and earned Incident Rate Excellence in two of the last three years.
These milestones are made possible by the commitment our teams bring to safety every day—looking out for one another, following strong operational disciplines, and continuously improving the way we work. We’re proud to see that commitment recognized across our industry.
